To make your yarn and string balls gather your supplies as follows:
balloons (I used the tiny water balloons)
cling wrap
string / yarn (I went for the string on the 2nd try)
glue and bowl
optional glitter
pegs and a line to hang on
Blow up your balloons till they fit in the palm of your hand. Next cover them in cling wrap but leave the ends of the balloon to stick out as this is where you will be hanging them from.
Wrap your yarn or string around the cling wrapped balloon. Mix up your glue in a bowl, my glue is simple school glue. Water it down a bit so it is not so stiff, here is where you add your optional glitter, in the glue mix.
Now you have 3 options to get the glue on the balloon.
1. paint with a little brush till yarn is wet 2. Use your hand to scoop the mix over the balloon
3. Dunk the entire thing in the bowl. I found the best was using my hand to scoop the mixture.
Once you have soaked your yarn or string hang on a line with the pegs. Add newspaper under to catch any drips. Leave to dry.
Once dry you will need to remove the balloon and cling wrap. Use a scissors to pinch the balloon till it pops and then gently pull the cling wrap and balloon bits out.
You can hang them on your tree or put them in a bowl with LED lights, like I did!

I hope you had fun making these! Send me your pictures to instagram messages! 😊
